FAQ

Clear answers before you start planning.

These are the questions travelers ask most often before reaching out or booking. We have written them the way we would explain things to a real client: clearly, honestly, and with enough detail to help you make a confident decision.

Common Questions

The practical details most travelers want to know first.

If you only read one part of this page, start here. These are the questions that usually sit between “this looks interesting” and “I am ready to send an inquiry.”

How do I know whether I need a day trip, multi-day tour, or custom tour?

A day trip is best when you already have a base city and want one smooth private outing. A multi-day tour works when you want to connect regions and keep the whole route feeling polished. A custom tour makes the most sense when your dates, interests, group needs, or pace do not fit neatly into a fixed itinerary.

Is private car travel worth it in Japan if trains are already so good?

Japan’s trains are excellent, but that does not automatically make them the best fit for every trip. Private transport is usually worth it when comfort, flexibility, luggage handling, regional day trips, family travel, or time efficiency matter more than simply using the lowest-cost transport option.

How far in advance should I contact you?

For peak seasons such as cherry blossom and autumn foliage, earlier is better. A few months ahead is ideal for custom and multi-day routes. For day trips, we can sometimes help on shorter notice, but availability is naturally better when you reach out sooner.

Do you only offer the exact tours listed on the site?

No. The listed tours are starting points that help you understand the style of trip we arrange. If you want to shift the pace, combine places, add scenic stops, or shape the route around a special interest, we can usually adapt the plan accordingly.

Are your prices per person or per group?

Our private tours are generally priced per group, not per person. That often makes them better value than people expect, especially for couples, families, and small groups who would otherwise be paying separately for trains, buses, taxis, and the time cost of managing it all.

Can you help if I only have a rough idea of what I want?

Yes, that is completely normal. In fact, many of the best trips start with only a loose sense of dates, regions, and travel style. We can help turn that rough idea into a practical route that feels much better than trying to force a full plan too early.

Booking & On The Day

A few more details about support, drivers, and what to expect.

These questions usually come up once travelers are already picturing the trip in a more concrete way.

Will the driver speak English?

Our drivers can communicate in conversational English and are used to helping international travelers feel comfortable throughout the day.

Can you accommodate children or older travelers?

Yes. Private travel is often especially helpful for families and older travelers because it reduces walking pressure, station changes, and timing strain.

What if weather or timing changes affect the day?

That flexibility is one of the strengths of private touring. When it makes sense, we can often adjust timing, swap stops, or refine the flow to keep the day feeling enjoyable.

Still Unsure?
